About Wilf

Wilfrid Higgins is a lifelong resident of Kingston, Ontario, and has been writing poetry since youth.

Wilf’s poetry is novo-traditional and addresses the themes of life, love, and death. His style is known for its musicality when read aloud. His poems often incorporate a twist at the end in the form of a rhyming couplet that ties the poem into one.

Wilf’s other interests include sailing and history, and he has travelled to England, France, China, and Egypt.

In his younger years, Wilf was a competitive athlete: he was a member of Kingston Township’s rep hockey team as well as the Ontario Under-21 select soccer team.
